5 Great Reasons This Blog Will Motivate You
Did you know that were about 500 million active blogs in 2020?
That is an astronomical number! Let's put it in perspective. If you read one post per day it would take you 1,368,954 years to read 500 million blog posts! Who's got that kind of time?
Really, even if you had the time, would you want to? Five hundred million is such a big number that you know it includes a lot of stuff you're not interested in. You do have a life. It may not be perfect, but I'm sure it's better than just sitting in front of a computer screen all day!
How do you decide which blogs you want to follow? There are a lot of funny ones out there. You can learn how to do just about anything if you know where to look. And with all we face in life, we all need some motivation to keep us going sometimes.
Let's explore these problems
We can all relate to this experience, you go online to get a quick answer. Before we know it, we've gone down a rabbit hole looking at cat videos. (Nothing wrong with that, if you're researching cats!) Time wasted is worse than money wasted.
You can earn money again. But once time is gone, it is gone FOREVER! Is there a better way? What about improving your life through learning? Can't we be educated and entertained at the same time?
It's like that in kindergarten. Think about it. During our formative years, we soak up knowledge like a sponge and we are having a ball doing it! Who says we can't interject a little fun into our day?
And finally, motivation is lacking everywhere. It's an endangered species for many of us. Not unlike the spotted owl that is hard to spot, (See what I did there, can't spot a spotted owl?) there are lots of blogs and articles about motivation. But much of it is speculative or even contradictory.
Is this blog the solution?
Right out of the gate, I won't insult your intelligence to say this is the ultimate solution. Anyone who says their blog is the cure-all for everything must think you're pretty gullible. Only you can decide if this is for you. But I want you to consider 5 great reasons this blog will motivate you.
And in the process, you might learn a few things and have some fun while at it. Let's take a look
Each month we'll present a newsletter designed to provide real-world motivation. This is information that you can use to help you at home, at work, and in life in general. Information that can help you not only to survive but to even thrive despite what's going on around you.
Rather than rely on speculation, we'll consider real-life experiences from the news or even your own submissions to find what moves you. There is a wealth of knowledge out there on nearly any subject, can we corral all of that together into one place?
That last point is key. We'll help you find your own motivation. What motivates one may not motivate another. What excites you, what gets your motor running? What do you do that causes you to lose track of time? Let's find out together.
You'll expand your mental horizons by considering topics and learning things that you may never had considered before. One of my favorite quotes: "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
And finally, I mentioned that the newsletter is monthly. This blog is weekly so that we can discuss, flesh out, debate, update, or otherwise thoroughly review the monthly topic. Your life is not static, it's always moving and changing. That's what makes it interesting...and frustrating sometimes.
Well, knowledge isn't static. It's always growing and moving as well. By being actively involved with this blog, you can continue to learn just as you did as a young child. We all remember school and we discuss what lessons we learned. Well, what did you learn during recess? Let's not forget that part of growing up either.
So where do we go from here? Consider, there are seven million blogs posted each day! Rather than drown in all of that, take a deep breath, and make your way to this blog to see if this is what you need. Do you want to find some fun and humor in your week? Are you interested in the continual increase of your practical knowledge? And do you want to motivate yourself to reach your goals?
